On Monday, January 12, Malheur County Commissioners will be holding the first of their required meetings regarding the relocation of Malheur County into Idaho. The meeting will be held at 9 AM Mountain Time at the Malheur County Courthouse Meeting Room 106, 251 B St. W in Vale. With the refusal of the Oregon Legislature to hold hearings on, or move forward any bills regarding moving the border, the Greater Idaho Movement has turned to the Trump administration to ask for help. Key to this request is getting the advocacy of Rep. Bentz, who is the lone federal representative of all the counties who have passed our measures. To date Rep. Bentz has been unwilling to sit down with our leadership team or host a delegation from Greater Idaho in Washington DC, so we are asking our Commissioners and State Legislators to request action on our behalf. Please plan on attending the meeting in person if possible, and be ready to state your support for moving the border, as well as request support from commissioners in getting federal advocacy.
