Please join us for Morrow County's first Greater Idaho meeting of the year. The meeting is being held on Wednesday, February March 5th at 9 am at the Bartholomew Building Upper Conference Room located at 110 N. Court Street, Heppner, Oregon. The dicussion regarding Greater Idaho should begin between 9:30 and 10. This is your opportunity to ask commissioners to advocate with legislators to move either of the Greater Idaho bills in the Oregon Legislature forward. Rep. Smith was not a co-sponsor of the House legislation asking for creation of a task-force, and Sen. Nash has yet to endorse the Senate Memorial bill, SJM7. Morrow County commissioners can help advocate by reaching out to these legislators and asking them to support the House and Senate bills, sending a letter supporting legislative action on behalf of Morrow county voters, or by encouraging the Eastern Oregon Counties Association to put out a statement in support of legislative action.
