Malheur County Commissioner's Meeting
January 07, 2025
On Monday, January 13, Malheur County Commissioners will be holding the first of their required meetings regarding the relocation of Malheur County into Idaho. This is the first meeting in Malheur County since the November election where voters reinforced their wishes for holding Greater Idaho meetings and pursuing moving the border.
Malheur County is one of only 5 counties who have passed Greater Idaho measures who have yet to formally request legislative action from the state. Representative Owens, who represents Malheur county, will be introducing a bill in the upcoming Oregon session asking for investigation of moving the border, so please plan on attending and letting the commissioners know that you support moving the border and would like them to actively advocate for passage of Rep. Owen's bill.
The meeting will be held at the Malheur County Courthouse, Room 106, Vale, at 9 am MST (8 AM Pacific if you are zooming in). To join the meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone: use the link https://meet.goto.com/MCPZ/malheur-county-court
